Die Anker on Rich Ranch

I have a beautiful story to tell.
Die Anker First Rugby Team
In April 2009 a very special coach and his team of then very young rugby players came to visit us here on Rich Ranch. To this day we still talk about a night of laughs in the bush while stalking the lantern. Coach Rocky would wake them any time of the night and off they would go for a run as part of their training. They pelted each other with cow manure while riding the Zip line. I could go on and on. It was just one of those camps we would remember for years to come.
Then I received a phone call that this very team, which is now the School's First Rugby Team would be playing a tournament in Middelburg. They would love to spend the night before the big match at the place where it all started. It was with great pleasure that we once again met up with these now young gents.
We recognized the faces and caught up on some of their news. What a pleasure.
Thank you Coach Rocky for sharing your boys with us. It just adds to all the good memories that we always keep of Rich Ranch. This is really a story that has come full circle.
